Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your support and attentiveness with following these procedures and recommended safety guidelines for an orderly arrival and dismissal.
The school day for students is from 8:25 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Arrival
Students being DRIVEN to school are permitted to arrive at 8:25 a.m. The rear lobby student drop-off area will not be open prior to that time.
During morning drop-off, CAR RIDERS are to enter the campus from Coraopolis Heights Road entrance (shared with RHEMA Christian School). Please follow the directional arrows painted on the road for safe traffic flow. Student drop-off should take place in the designated area (a map has been attached for your reference) where a Brooks staff member will be present at the door.

Please drive safely in all parking areas and roads; refrain from cell phone usage; and follow the directions of staff members.
Dismissal
Weather conditions, traffic, or changes in traffic patterns may cause delays in bus arrival and dismissal routines. If we anticipate a significant delay (more than 10 minutes) you may be notified through our rapid-alert system, Skylert. If your child’s bus does not arrive within their designated pick-up/drop-off window, please do not hesitate to call the school to inquire about the status of the bus. Please be patient with bus times the first few weeks of school and remember that student dismissal begins at 3:00 pm. It takes at least 10 minutes from that time to load buses and have them leave the lot.

Afternoon Car Rider Pick-Up Procedures
If a child is being picked up at dismissal time, parents are to remain in their vehicles and staff will come to the vehicle. Please always bring your valid driver’s license with you. Anyone picking up your child from school must also bring a valid driver’s license and be listed on the online emergency form and car rider pick-up form. Buses and vans will be parked around the bus loop in front of the building. If you are unable to arrive by 2:50 p.m., and you know ahead of time that you will be picking up your child at dismissal, please be sure to send a note to the teacher or call the office by 2:50 p.m. so that your child will not be placed on his/her bus. Cars are NOT permitted to park in the bus loop or front lot during this time. Parents should park in the rear of the building, entering the campus through Coraopolis Heights Road.
Afternoon Walking Students Pick-Up Procedures
Students that walk to school will be dismissed from the main office. Please always bring your valid driver’s license with you. Anyone picking up your child from school must also bring a valid driver’s license and be listed on the online emergency form and car rider pick-up form. Please use caution when walking with your child for vehicular traffic.
Student Arrival and Dismissal Plan
If you are dropping your child off in the morning by car, please use the Student Drop Off Sidewalk noted on the map below. Students can be dropped off anywhere along that sidewalk and they may enter the building following the dotted arrow illustrated below. Please note there is no supervision in that area, so you may want to watch your child enter the school safely. Please do not park along the sidewalk.
Only students may enter from that door. If you are picking your child up from school for any reason, you may park in that back lot and walk through the breezeway to the main office.
